Lesson One – Test Week
This week has been a very slow week for us in regards to blogging, and the reason is that it is test week for both of my Arkansas history and science students. Meaning that we have spent a lot of time reviewing and preparing for our test…things should be back to normal next week.
Lesson Two – Man Points
The boys in my class, my very creative boys I should say, have developed a new game to pass the time. This game they have developed is simply call “man points”, the way it works is that they give (or take away) each other these imaginary points depending on actions they take on a daily basis. Manly acts will gainer you points and doing non-manly acts will cause you to take points away. Meet Marshall, as you can tell by his shirt…he is not very manly. His peers decided that his actions this past week were not manly enough, so he was shunned and forced to wear this shirt around all day. If only they put this much effort into their studies…
Lesson Three – Olympic Pride
Nothing says America like men, sequins, and gold.
All this week I have been watching a variety of Winter Olympic Games…mainly due to the fact that all other television has come to a complete stop. Last night I found myself watching 2 hours of men’s figure skating hoping for an American Gold…needless to say, I already miss football. However, there is still something pretty cool about seeing your countries flag being raised during the medals ceremony.
Mr. McClung
I think Marshall has proven that he is a ‘real man’ by taking the challenge to wear the shirt. That takes guts!
