Today Mr. McClung asked us to write a blog post. I chose to write about the argument for Apple iPod’s and new iPad’s in schools.

Lately, many schools around the country including schools in Arkansas, have been supplying iPod’s for all students for educational purposes. I personally think that this is a great idea and use of new technology especially for those who don’t have internet access at home. There are applications for nearly everything including foreign language tutors, drivers ed, career exploring, and main subjects like math, science, english, and history.

Although some may say iPod’s and independent technology which is hard to monitor is a distraction, but it is also a good test of how well students work by themselves and the quality of work they can complete.

Also, another issue is that new technology can have all sorts of problems and go out of date very quickly, but it is also a great learning experience and helps students each able to interact and take part in the lesson.
