Lesson One – Art in The Halls

booksThis week our 2nd year art students have been hard at work creating and hanging their art in the hallways. They recently finished their installation projects and have proudly hung them in the hallways, library, and event in common areas around the school. All of the art students have done an excellent jobs with their very interesting projects and they have definitely added some much needed flavor to our hallways.

Lesson Two – Champion of Running Club

PC030005This week it was a little bit too cold to have a normal running club meeting, but that didn’t stop us from at least getting in a couple of victory laps and a race or two. On Tuesday we had a dispute finally settled; the two Jakes from my 5th period social studies class have been arguing for quite sometime now about who was faster…keep in mind that one is a cross country runner and one is a football player. Because it was so cold outside we were not able to get a full mile race in, instead we held a 600 meter race…and it resulted in a win for football Jake which is not the rightful owner of the running club championship belt. But remember, although he is the current champion he can still be challenged and dethroned at anytime.

Lesson Three – Little Rock Bound

BulldogsTonight in Little Rock is the big game. Our Fayetteville Bulldogs will take on the Bentonville Tigers for the class 7A state championship. This game is not only a huge event for the pure fact that it is the state championship game but it just happens to be against a little well known team that lives about 20 minutes up the road. Bentonville will be trying to repeat this year with back-to-back championships and Fayetteville will be trying to win the title for the first since 2007. Go Dogs!
