AC/DC are an Australian rock band, formed in 1973 by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. They are considered pioneers of heavy metal, though they themselves have always classified their music as simply “rock and roll”. To date they are one of the highest grossing bands of all time. AC/DC underwent several line-up changes before releasing their first album, High Voltage, on 17 February 1975. After their original lead singer passed away, ex-Geordie singer Brian Johnson was auditioned and selected to replace Scott. Later that year, the band released their highest selling album, and ultimately the second highest-selling album by any artist, Back in Black. The song “Money Talks” was selected as the song of the week because this week we will be talking about one thing…money. We will be looking at economic systems from around the world and in our own country as well.

  1. Yes and the drummer is a New Zealander, or Kiwi, Phil Rudd and where he lives, its about a block and a half from where my parents live. (New Zealand is population wise a relatively small country, true international celebrities are few and far between hence the proverbially grasping at straws!) Great to see you posting again and looking forward to seeing what your class can produce in 2011.
