At first I was a bit skeptical when a co-worker came to me with the idea to have my students create their own songs about the reformation period…but after seeing the my kids light up today when I introduced the assignment and hearing the excitement in their voices I knew that this has the makings to be a great project. As soon as I introduced the assignment my students they went right to work putting pen to paper and writing lyrics to their songs. We will continue work on these songs on Friday and the due date will be set for Monday of next week…stay tuned to see the finished product.
