Your artist of the week is Vince Guaraldi
Christmas means a lot of different things to a lot different people, but regardless of who you are we all have some type of nostalgia that we relate to Christmas time. For me, movies and music really resonate with me during this time of year. I cannot think about Christmas without quoting lines such as “you’ll shoot your eye out!” from my favorite Christmas movie A Christmas Story or humming the many great songs from a Charlie Brown Christmas. So with that said, let’s get our artist of the week.

Vincent Anthony “Vince” Guaraldi (July 17, 1928 – February 6, 1976) was an American jazz musician and pianist best known for composing music for animated adaptations of the Peanuts comic strip. Guaraldi was born in San Francisco, California. His most recognized tune is “Linus and Lucy” from A Charlie Brown Christmas, a song which is known by fans worldwide as the musical signature of the Peanuts franchise.
